Position: European Trading Platform, Service Delivery Manager.
Duties:
- Primary role is to assure the technical delivery of Fidessa hosted solutions
to the client. This includes the management of the installation of hardware,
Fidessa software components, loading of appropriate static data, connectivity
to market data sources, network infrastructure, third-party interfaces and
the customer specific software requirements.
- Key to the role is excellent business knowledge of the end users underlying
requirements as well as excellent technical knowledge of system components
and constraints.
- Project management, planning and tracking is essential in this position.
- As required, I can draw on my implementation experience and provide hands-on
assistance to the team in order to ensure successful completion of a project.
- Other responsibilities include the training of new staff, project costing
and estimating, division-wide responsibility for various third-party interfaces
and implementation streamlining.
- During a project I am responsible for the duties of a team of technical
people and for any architectural decisions that are needed.
- After the system is in production I am responsible for managing the implementation
of upgrades and assistance in the technical support of the products.
- As senior member of a larger team I am involved in the design and installation
of infrastructure and procedures (both technical and operational).
- Recently I have managed the technical implementation of global projects
(US, UK & Asian based hosted systems). This has involved overseas travel
for extended periods to set up the infrastructure (technical and operational)
of an entirely new ‘hosted Fidessa’ department in Hong Kong.

- Responsibilities included technical support for the mortgages and securitisation
division in the Sydney branch.

- Using the in-place operating procedures to manage and track system/data
changes.

Position: Senior Support Consultant.
Duties:
- Responsibilities included technical support for a wide range of software
components and technologies.
- As a senior member of the support group, involvement in the infrastructure
of a team was also a major responsibility. This included the leading of a
multi-product support team, training of newer staff, as well as a wider responsibility
to the entire support group.
- Technical responsibilities consisted of troubleshooting client issues, installation,
configuration and testing of both hardware and software on the client site.
- Client on-site presence also necessitated project management of implementation
and ongoing support of the systems.
